Grilled Tofu Tacos with Spicy-Honey BBQ Sauce

- 1 block of extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 cup honey
- ¼ cup BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
In a large bowl, combine the cubed tofu, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat the tofu evenly.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together the honey, BBQ sauce, and hot sauce.
Once the tofu has cooked for 5 minutes, add the honey-BBQ sauce mixture to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to coat the tofu.
Remove the tofu from the heat and assemble the tacos. Place a few pieces of the tofu in each taco shell and top with desired toppings. Enjoy!
