Grilled Skirt Steak Tacos Recipe

Tender skirt steak, grilled to perfection and served in soft tortillas with creamy avocado, fresh cilantro and a drizzle of lime juice.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb skirt steak cut into thirds.
  • cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 corn tacos
  • ½ orange, juiced 
  • ½ lime, juiced 
  • cup onion, chopped
  • ½ tbsp red chili flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • zest of 1 lime
  • 1 ripe avocado

Instructions
 

  • Place all marinade ingredients in a large zip lock bag. Mix together. Add the steak to the marinade. Mix again. Seal tight, and place in a large bowl and place in the refrigerator for a minimum of 1 hour, we cap at 6 hours to maintain the beef flavor
  • Heat grill nice and hot, and prepare for direct cooking. Target 450 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit over direct grilling.
  • Remove the steak from the bag and pat dry. Discard any extra marinade. Liberally season your steak on both sides with salt and pepper
  • Place on grill for direct cooking. Grill approximately 3-4 minutes per side .
  • Slice against the grain, and fill your taco with the steak , a splash of salsa,2 slices of avocado and a squeeze of lime
