Cedar Plank Salmon Grill
Grilling salmon on cedar plank adds smoky flavor to it in addition to the oily and delicious taste of salmon. When you grill salmon in this way the aroma will be transferred from the wood to the surface.
Cedar Planked Salmon
A smoky taste with the oily flavor of Salmon.
Equipment
Ingredients
- 3 Cedar Planks
- 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 1/2` tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
- 1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 Cup Chopped Green Onion
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Minced Ginger
- 1 tsp Minced Garlic
- 2 Salmon Fillets
Instructions
- In a bowl, soak the cedar planks for at least 1 hour in warm water.
- In a a shallow dish, stir together the vegetable oil, rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, green onions, ginger, and garlic.
- Place the salmon fillets in the marinade and turn to coat. Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat. Place the planks on the grate.
- Place the salmon fillets onto the planks and throw the marinade. Cover, and grill for about 20 minutes.
- Fish is done when you can flake it with a fork.
- Serve on a serving platter.
