Grilled Pound Cake
One of the best ways to enhance the dessert flavor is by grilling it. The following recipe is called”Pound Cake” based on how it is made. Initially, when they created this cake back to 1700 they used pound of each ingredient.
Grilled Pound Cake

Ingredients
- 1 Cup Sliced Strawberries
- 1 Cup Raspberries
- 1 Cup Blueberries
- 5 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Minced mint
- 1 Cup Whipping Cream
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Lemon Zest
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 6 Slices Pound Cake
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, 2 tablespoons sugar and mint; set aside
- In a small bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. Beat in remaining sugar. Add lemon juice and zest; beat until soft peaks form. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
- Spread butter over both sides of cake slices. Grill over medium heat for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Serve with berry mixture and whipped cream on a serving platter.
Notes
This dessert is packed with antioxidants from all the berries used, and also it is packed with vitamins.
