Grilled Swordfish with Chimichurri Sauce

- 2 lbs swordfish steaks
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For the sauce
- ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes and black pepper.
- Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish and pour the olive oil mixture over. Turn the steaks to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- To make the chimichurri sauce, combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
- Remove the swordfish steaks from the refrigerator and discard the marinade.
- Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through.
- Serve the grilled swordfish with the chimichurri sauce.
